I am Chris Pilitsis, a Psychologist with experience in both Greece and the United Kingdom. From the beginning of my professional journey, I have been deeply interested in how people grow, adapt, and find meaning through life’s transitions. This path led me to a profession that combines scientific understanding, empathy, and a creative approach to human experience. My early work involved collaborations with social and educational organisations in Greece, supporting children and young people (ARSIS, The Smile of the Child, Youth Support Centers). These experiences helped me understand the importance of emotional safety, empathy, and creative expression as key elements of personal development.Later, my professional experience in the United Kingdom — within psychosocial and special support frameworks — enhanced my ability to work with diverse individuals, cultures, and needs. I developed skills in observation, emotional awareness, and structured therapeutic planning, within well-organised and multicultural environments.Today, I maintain a private practice in Serres, Greece, offering psychological support and counseling to individuals and groups. I also collaborate with the women’s basketball team of Panserraikos BC, providing mental preparation, psychological resilience, and team cohesion support. Also, I am a Member of the International Society of Sport Psychology (ISSP)I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology (MSc Applied Child Psychology) from Nottingham Trent University and a Bachelor’s degree (BSc Hons Psychology) from the University of East London. I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), trained in the Brainspotting method, and certified in the Makaton Communication System. My professional philosophy is grounded in simplicity, authenticity, and the belief that every person can regain balance and inner strength when they feel heard, understood, and supported in a space of trust.Creating that space is my work.
